For the seventh year in a row, Equity Methods has received the highest loyalty and overall satisfaction ratings in the annual Group Five Stock Plan Administration Benchmarking Study. The study evaluates the quality of financial reporting services that US public companies receive for their equity compensation plans.

Each year, Group Five surveys plan sponsors about their vendor experience. Results break down along two dimensions: satisfaction and loyalty. This year, Equity Methods earned a 100% favorable rating in clients’ overall satisfaction with account support, platform functionality, and reporting. Equity Methods also earned a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 97, continuing the firm’s track record of earning the top client loyalty rating of all financial reporting service providers included in the study. The second highest NPS for this year is 69, and the average across the industry is 59.

Group Five is the industry leader for corporate client satisfaction research and consulting in the shareholder services, equity plan administration, and 401(k) recordkeeping industries. Now in its 22nd year, the Group Five benchmarking study is designed to measure stock plan sponsors’ satisfaction with their plan administrators, plan brokers, technology platforms, and financial reporting services. The study also identifies service providers’ strengths and areas for improvement from the plan sponsor perspective, and identifies the key drivers of plan sponsor loyalty to service providers. The 2020 study includes responses from 647 US public companies.

“We’re always looking for ways to improve the client experience. Group Five study results are a critical yardstick in that endeavor, because they let us know how we’re doing in the areas that matter most,” said Takis Makridis, president and CEO of Equity Methods. “Our clients need to know that we’re on their side. Every idea we have, everything we do to bring that home for them serves as a reminder of who we are as a firm.”
